About the Marge Carson Dallas Showroom
Luxury furnishings brand Marge Carson has opened a company-owned designer showroom in the Dallas Design Center, exclusively presenting a broad array of its upscale upholstery, bedroom, dining and living room furniture to the interior design trade.
The Marge Carson Dallas Showroom is located at 1025 North Stemmons Freeway, Suite 280, in the vibrant Dallas Design District, a center of art, culture, design and fine dining. The 7,200-square-foot, two-level showroom is managed by Dennis Teague, a seventh-generation Texan and veteran of the furniture retail and interior design industry in the Dallas area.
"We're very excited to bring Marge Carson to the Dallas design community through a showroom that fully expresses our brand and showcases both our well-known Old World European traditional styles along with many fresh, updated transitional designs in fully furnished and accessorized vignettes," said Will Sharp, president of Marge Carson Inc.
In addition to the complete line of Marge Carson furniture and the brand's unique custom fabrics and trims sourced throughout the world including Italy, Belgium and India, the showroom offers high-end lighting, art, decorative accessories and rugs immediately available for purchase.
"The Marge Carson Dallas Showroom is a designer's dream," said Teague. "Many consider Marge Carson to be furniture's version of Haute Couture fashion. Our open, airy and light-filled space combines Marge Carson with luxury decorative accessories that are always fresh, changing and new, along with our exquisite custom fabrics and trims in all looks and styles."
Headquartered in Pomona, Calif., Marge Carson was founded in 1947 by interior designer Marge Carson of Pasadena. One of the world's leading privately-owned furniture companies, Marge Carson enjoys a reputation for fine craftsmanship, quality, phenomenal designs and exquisite fabrics, finishes and trims.
The new Dallas showroom is the second company-owned Marge Carson showroom to be opened in the last few years. The company also owns the Marge Carson Los Angeles Showroom that it opened in 2008 at 920 N. La Cienega Blvd in the legendary La Cienega Design Quarter.
Like the Los Angeles showroom, the Dallas showroom displays over 50 finishes and hundreds of fabric and leather options. A beautiful staircase leads to an upstairs fabric room with hanging fabric samples and gathering tables. Teague points out that the fabric samples are large enough to drape over upholstered pieces and show full pattern repeats so that they are easily visualized.
In addition to Teague, the showroom staff includes Allison Goodman, an experienced designer with an interior design degree from LSU.
"With our highly trained, capable and dedicated staff and the inspiring environment, our hope is that the Marge Carson Dallas Showroom makes it easy for designers to accomplish their mission of creating beautiful homes for their clients," Sharp said.
